The Botanical Garden on Petrograd Side combines an arboretum, flower garden, botanical museum, and a large greenhouse complex. The outdoor areas make a calm break from the city's palaces and embankments, while the greenhouses add a more focused plant collection.
Access to the greenhouses is usually by guided tour, so check timing before crossing town for them.
