Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery is one of Saint Petersburg's most solemn World War II sites. Hundreds of thousands of civilians and soldiers from the Siege of Leningrad are buried here in mass graves, with an eternal flame and memorial sculpture marking the entrance.
