Tauride Garden

Tauride Garden was laid out between 1783 and 1789 on the estate of the Tauride Palace. It was designed in the English Romantic style, with ponds, canals, and planted scenery meant to feel more natural than formal.

The garden opened to the public in 1866 and remains a pleasant place for a walk away from the densest museum circuit. It is best paired with nearby central St Petersburg sights rather than treated as a long destination on its own.
