Niš has its own airport — Constantine the Great Airport — with connections to several European cities, particularly Western Europe. Ryanair and Wizz Air operate seasonal routes from London, Vienna, and other hub airports, making it one of the easier Serbian cities to reach from abroad without going through Belgrade.
By train or bus, Niš is well connected to Belgrade (roughly 2.5 hours by express bus, longer by train). There are direct buses to Sofia in Bulgaria, Skopje in North Macedonia, and Thessaloniki in Greece. The bus station is central; the railway station is a short walk from the city centre.
Drivers on the E75 motorway between Belgrade and Thessaloniki pass directly through the Niš valley — the city is hard to miss on the big European corridors through the Balkans.
