The Church of St. Francis of Assisi in Hervartov is a 15th-century wooden Roman Catholic church and one of the oldest and best-preserved wooden churches in Slovakia. Its Gothic timber structure, painted interior, and quiet village setting make it a strong side trip from Bardejov.
The church is part of the UNESCO-listed wooden churches of the Slovak Carpathians, so it is worth seeking out for architecture and religious history rather than treating it as just another village church.
