Plaza del Cabildo is the centrepiece of old Arcos. The square is small, busy, and slightly theatrical, with the basilica on one side, the castle nearby, and a viewpoint that drops suddenly to the valley below.
This is where most visitors first understand the town. The view over the Guadalete plain is wide and startling, and the architecture around the square makes clear why Arcos became one of the signature white villages.
