Espalmador

Small protected island north of Formentera, known for wild white beaches and turquoise shallows

Espalmador is the little island that makes Formentera feel even more stripped back. It sits just north of Pas des Trucadors, with pale sand, shallow turquoise water, and a protected, undeveloped character that is increasingly rare in the Balearics.

You need a boat to visit, and you should bring everything you need because there are no proper services. Treat it gently: the point is not a beach club day, but the feeling of landing on a quiet sand-and-salt edge between Formentera and Ibiza.
