Platja Es Arenals

Wide Migjorn-side beach with pale sand, shallow water, and easier facilities than wilder coves.

Platja Es Arenals is one of the broader, easier sections of Formentera’s Migjorn coast, with pale sand and shallow turquoise water when conditions are calm. It has more practical beach-day infrastructure than the island’s wilder corners, so it works well if you want beauty without carrying everything yourself.

Wind matters here, as it does all along Formentera’s open beaches. On the right day Es Arenals is relaxed and luminous; when the sea is stirred up, treat it as a walk along the dunes rather than a guaranteed swimming spot.
