San Antonio has two distinct bar scenes. The West End is the cheap-shots strip, loud and crowded with young tourists looking for the cheapest drink on the island. The Sunset Strip — the promenade running southwest from the port — is a different experience entirely: bars with outdoor terraces facing west across the sea, chill-out music, and some of the most beautiful sunsets in the Mediterranean. Café del Mar is the most famous, but the whole strip is worth exploring.
