Cala Mesquida is a wide, sandy beach about 3 km north of Cala Ratjada, backed by dunes and pine woodland and largely undeveloped thanks to its protected status. It has a more exposed, windswept character than the sheltered coves to the south — the surf here can be substantial, making it popular with bodyboarders and windsurfers. In summer there is a beach bar; outside peak season the beach is peaceful and the dunes are good for walking.
The access road ends at a small car park, and from there a path winds through the dunes down to the shore. The surrounding area is part of the Llevant Natural Area, and the coastal scrub is alive with birds during spring and autumn migration. A short hike north from the beach leads to further rocky coves accessible only on foot.
