Icod de los Vinos is on the TF-5/TF-42 route along Tenerife's north coast. By car it is a straightforward stop between Puerto de la Cruz, Garachico, and Buenavista del Norte, though the one-way streets around the centre can be slow.
Titsa buses connect Icod with Puerto de la Cruz, Garachico, and the south-west resorts, but a car makes the cave, beach, and nearby villages much easier to combine in one day.
