Talavera de la Reina is on the rail line west from Madrid toward Extremadura, and the station is just north of the centre. Trains are the easiest public-transport option if you are not driving.
By road, Talavera sits on the A-5 between Madrid and the Extremadura border. It is roughly 90 minutes from Madrid in good traffic and less than an hour and a half from Toledo by car.
