Platja de Llavaneres

The beach at Llavaneres is a narrow stretch of sand typical of the Costa del Maresme — fine gravel mixed with sand, sheltered water, and the railway line running parallel just behind. It is not a spectacular beach by Mediterranean standards, but it is far quieter than the beaches closer to Barcelona, which are heavily used by city residents in summer.

The water is generally clean and calm. The beach has basic facilities in summer — sun loungers, a chiringuito bar for food and drinks. The train station is a short walk away, making this an easy day trip from Barcelona on a hot day if you want to escape without travelling far.
