The Museo da Terra de Melide is housed in a wing of the former 14th-century Convento do Sancti Spiritus, on the central square. The collection covers the prehistory and rural ethnography of the Terra de Melide comarca: Iron Age finds from the Castro da Graña, agricultural implements, photographs of the surrounding villages in the 19th century, traditional Galician costume.
The museum is small enough to see properly in forty-five minutes but well laid out. The basement holds the most interesting pieces — fragments from the Roman bridge at Furelos and bronze fittings from the local castros. Open Tuesday to Saturday plus Sunday mornings; closed Mondays. Modest admission.
