Lorca lies on the A-7 motorway between Murcia and Almería and is easily reached by car — Murcia is about 50 minutes away, Cartagena about an hour, and Granada roughly two and a half hours. The nearest airports are Murcia-Corvera (45 minutes) and Almería (an hour and a half).
Trains run from Murcia several times a day to Lorca-Sutullena station, just south of the historic centre. Buses connect Lorca to the major cities of the region and to Madrid (about five hours).
