The Canelobre Caves are a classic inland excursion from Alicante, set in the hills near Busot. The main chamber is impressively high, with limestone formations that give the cave its name and make it feel more cathedral-like than cramped.
They are best visited when you want a break from beaches, promenades, and city museums. Check tour times before setting out, as access is managed, and allow time for the mountain views around Busot as well as the cave itself.
