Museu de Belles Arts Gravina, usually shortened to MUBAG, is Alicante's fine arts museum. It occupies an 18th-century palace near the old town and shows Spanish art across three floors.
The collection is strongest as a local counterpoint to the city's beaches and castle: portraits, religious works, landscapes, and historical scenes that put Alicante and Valencia into a broader artistic setting. Leave time for the short historic film presentation if it is running.
