Tabarca is the only inhabited island in the Valencian Community and a classic day trip from Alicante. Boats run from the harbor, bringing visitors to beaches, clear water, seafood restaurants, and a compact village with fortified walls.
It is busiest in summer, when the island feels more like a beach outing than a quiet escape. Outside peak season, the short crossing and small historic core make it an easy change of pace from the city.
