Getting There

Borås has its own small airport at Borås City Airport (Viared), mostly for charter and freight traffic. Most travellers arrive via Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport (GOT), about 40 minutes by direct airport bus or car. Landvetter is the closest international gateway and serves the city well.

By train, Borås is connected to Gothenburg in about an hour by Västtågen regional services. Connections from Stockholm typically run via Herrljunga or Gothenburg and take three to four hours. The bus network from across western Sweden is good and often the cheapest option.

By car, Borås sits on Riksväg 40, the main road between Gothenburg and Jönköping; the drive from Gothenburg takes about an hour.
