The harbour is the busiest spot in town in summer. Pleasure boats and the steamer Trafik tie up at the quay; a row of timber buildings along the waterfront houses an ice-cream stand, a fish smokery, and a couple of restaurants with terraces. It is also the place to swim from the long jetty if the lake is warm enough.
From the harbour you can walk south along the lakeshore promenade into the spa park, or north toward the older quay used by working boats. Boat hire (kayaks, paddleboards, small motorboats) is available in season from the kiosk on the south side.
