The bar of Hotel Continental, which claims to be Sweden's oldest hotel in continuous operation (since 1829), occupies the north side of Stortorget. The interior has retained its period character — dark panelling, upholstered chairs, the general feel of a provincial hotel bar that has not been forced into modernity. Good for a quiet drink before or after dinner.
Open to non-guests. The hotel also has a more formal dining room.
