Ystad is a quiet town and its evenings reflect that. The main square, Stortorget, has the highest concentration of café tables in summer. A handful of bars around Hamngatan and along the harbour front serve the evening trade. The Swedish fika tradition is well observed here — coffee and cake in the afternoon is something the town does seriously.
