Leukerbad is a genuine year-round resort with high seasons in both winter (December–March, for skiing and the surreal experience of bathing outdoors in snow) and summer (July–August, for hiking and lighter spa crowds). Spring and autumn are quieter and somewhat cheaper, and the mountains are beautiful in May–June when the meadows are green and flower-covered. The outdoor thermal pools are open in all weather and are at their most atmospheric in cold or snowy conditions.
