A 13th-century lakeside castle on the edge of Grande Place, the Chateau de l'Aile is privately owned and not normally open to the public — but it makes a striking landmark, with crenellated walls and a small turret that rises directly out of the water. The neo-Gothic restoration in the 19th century gave it most of its current silhouette.
You can walk all the way around the exterior on the lakefront promenade. The castle is occasionally opened for cultural events during the Fete des Vignerons.
