Vevey sits on the main Geneva–Lausanne–Brig railway line. Trains from Geneva take about an hour, from Lausanne 15 minutes, from Montreux 5 minutes — all run every 30 minutes or more often. The station is a 5-minute walk from the lakefront.
By road, the A9 motorway has its own Vevey exit. By boat, the CGN steamers stop several times a day at the Vevey-Marche pier as part of the Lake Geneva network connecting Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, and Chillon. The historic paddle-steamers are an experience in themselves.
