Chaplin Statue

A life-size bronze of Charlie Chaplin in his Tramp costume, cane in hand, stands on the lakefront promenade between the Alimentarium and the Hotel des Trois Couronnes. It was unveiled in 1982 and is one of the most photographed things in town.

The statue is set just in front of the spot where Chaplin liked to walk in his last years. A small plaque records the dates of his life in Vevey, 1953 to 1977.
