A single eight-metre stainless-steel fork sticks straight out of Lake Geneva about ten metres offshore from the Alimentarium. There is no plinth, no plaque, no explanation in situ — it is the kind of object that makes more sense after you know the joke than before. Pose for a photo with it, walk on.
The fork is best photographed in the late afternoon when the sun is behind it and lighting up the Dents-du-Midi across the lake. The lakefront promenade goes right past.
