A short walk east along the lakefront from Vevey, in the neighbouring town of La Tour-de-Peilz, the Swiss Museum of Games occupies the medieval Chateau de La Tour-de-Peilz. The collection covers everything from prehistoric dice and the Royal Game of Ur to 20th-century video games — much of it playable.
The setting alone is worth the visit: a quadrangle castle with a moat, a small lakeside park, and a tower you can climb for views back across to Vevey. Good for an afternoon with children but designed to keep adults engaged too.
