A long-established Crimean Tatar restaurant on the edge of the old town, in a converted Tatar-style courtyard house with low tables, kilims on the walls, and a wood-fired oven turning out fresh flatbread. The menu runs the full Central Asian–Crimean spectrum: lagman, manti, plov, samsa, and an excellent kebab list.
Order the chebureki — flat half-moon pastries of thin pastry filled with spiced lamb, deep-fried to order — as a starter, then plov for two. Prices are reasonable; service is attentive once you have caught their attention. Reservations sensible at weekends.
