Abbey Gardens

Abbey Gardens is the main green space around the ruins of Bury St Edmunds Abbey. Flower beds, lawns, a sensory garden, and paths through the old monastic grounds make it a good gentle stop in the town centre.

The abbey ruins are the strongest reason to visit. Walk through the gardens toward the Great Churchyard and St Mary's Church for the most atmospheric part of the site.
