Luton Hoo is a grand country estate on the southern edge of town, with a Robert Adam-designed mansion set in parkland landscaped by Capability Brown. The house itself is now a hotel and spa, but the grounds and exterior are visible from surrounding footpaths and public roads. Worth a drive past or a walk through the perimeter for the architecture and landscape alone.
