Bermondsey Beer Mile

A dozen craft brewery taprooms under Victorian railway arches

Address Bermondsey Street and railway arches, London SE1
Opening Hours Most tap rooms Sat 10am–5pm; some open Fri evenings

Bermondsey's railway arches have become home to a cluster of London's best independent breweries, each with its own taproom where you can drink straight from the source on Saturday mornings. The mile-long strip runs from London Bridge to Maltby Street and includes Fourpure, Partizan, Anspach & Hobday, Bottle Shop, and the Kernel Brewery — the latter producing some of the most respected ales in Britain.

The Saturday morning session (doors typically 10am–5pm) is a London tradition: arrive early, work along the arches at your own pace, and end at Maltby Street Market for something to eat. Dress for the cold in winter — the arches are unheated.
