Rasa specialises in Keralan cuisine from the south-west coast of India — quite different from the generic curry-house style that dominates London's Indian restaurants. The crisp, layered pappadoms served with a range of chutneys as a starter alone are worth the journey. Fish dishes are the highlight; the vegetarian menu is extensive and genuinely interesting.
There are two branches on Stoke Newington Church Street (one vegetarian), and a further branch off Oxford Street. Above-average prices for Indian food in London, but comfortably below what you would pay at comparable quality elsewhere.
