Bar Termini is one of the smallest and most perfect bars in London — a Soho room with eight stools and standing space for a few more, modelled on the Roman railway bar aesthetic. In the morning it serves excellent espresso; by afternoon the negroni variants take over. The Negroni Classico here is one of the finest in the city.
The bar is named for Rome's Termini station, where Tony Conigliaro (one of London's greatest bartenders) was struck by the culture of standing at the counter for coffee and a glass of something quickly and well made. The formula translates perfectly.
