The Photographers' Gallery is the UK's largest public gallery dedicated to photography, housed in a converted warehouse just off Oxford Street. The exhibitions range from historical documentary work to contemporary fine art photography and are consistently well-curated.
The bookshop on the ground floor stocks an excellent range of photography books and monographs. The gallery relocated to its current Ramillies Street building in 2012; it is now larger and more professionally presented than its previous premises in Covent Garden.
Nearest tube: Oxford Circus.
