The Wingfield Castle is a 1934 paddle steamer that spent her working life ferrying passengers across the Humber Estuary between Hull and New Holland. After being retired in 1974 she was eventually brought to Hartlepool — where she was built — and restored as a museum exhibit.
She's moored next to the Trincomalee at the Historic Quay. Entry is included with the National Museum of the Royal Navy ticket; the highlight is the engine room with the original triple-expansion steam engine still in place.
