The city's indoor arena, a few minutes' walk west of Central Station, hosts the bigger touring music acts that won't fit into the Sage or the O2 City Hall. Capacity is around 11,000 standing. The venue is unremarkable architecturally but the acoustics are workable and sightlines are decent from most of the seating tiers.
The Newcastle Eagles basketball team plays here in the British Basketball League. Tickets through the standard agencies; the pre-show drink is best done back in the city centre.
