The Comedy Carpet is a huge public artwork spread across the promenade in front of the Tower. It is made from thousands of letters spelling out lines, names, and catchphrases from British comedy.
It rewards slow wandering. Some references are famous, some are generational, and some will send you to your phone, but the whole piece feels right for a town built around live entertainment and shared laughter.
