Blackpool North is the main rail station, with services from Preston and connections onward to Manchester, Liverpool, and the West Coast Main Line. Blackpool South is useful for the Pleasure Beach end of town, though services are slower and less frequent.
Drivers arrive via the M55 from the M6. In summer, during big events, and during the Illuminations, traffic and parking can be slow; the tram is often the calmer way to move once you are on the coast.
