Helmshore's main draw is the Helmshore Mills Textile Museum — one of the best surviving examples of working textile mill machinery in England. Beyond the museum, the surrounding Rossendale Valley offers good walking country, particularly toward Musbury Tor and the Alden Valley to the west.
