The Bridgewater Canal gives Lymm and the east side of Warrington an easy waterside walk, with towpath views, old bridges, and a slower rhythm than the surrounding roads. You can follow it west toward Runcorn or east toward Altrincham, then loop back on sections of the disused railway line.
It is a simple outing rather than a set-piece attraction, but that is the appeal. Bring decent shoes after rain and use it as a gentle way to see a greener edge of the town.
