Eastrop Park

Eastrop Park is an attractive municipal park on the eastern edge of Basingstoke town centre, built around a winding artificial stream and a series of small lakes fed by the head of the River Loddon. The park has a paddling pool, an adventure playground, a small boating lake and a popular outdoor exercise course. On warm weekends it fills with families.

The walking trail along the river continues east towards the larger Basing House and Old Basing — a pleasant hour's walk through meadows and water gardens. There are no cafes or shops in the park itself, so bring whatever you need. Free entry and parking. The park is also the start point for several waymarked walks.
