Guildford is on the Portsmouth Direct Line from London Waterloo (about 35 minutes) and on the North Downs Line from Reading and Redhill. Trains run at high frequency throughout the day, slowing in the evening. The mainline station is a short walk west of the town centre across the river.
By car, Guildford sits on the A3 between London and Portsmouth, with the M25 ten minutes north. Parking is best at the Bedford Road or Castle Car Park within walking distance of the High Street.
