Richmond Bridge, completed in 1777, is the oldest surviving Thames bridge in Greater London — a graceful Portland stone arch that photographs well at any time of day. The riverside path on either side is lined with boats, pubs, and boathouses; you can hire rowing boats from the bank in summer. Walking south along the towpath toward Twickenham and Ham is one of the better riverside walks in greater London.
