Getting There

Rochester is easy to reach from London. The fastest option is the high-speed Javelin service from London St Pancras, which reaches Rochester in around 35 minutes. Southeastern also runs slower services from London Victoria and London Charing Cross via Chatham, taking roughly an hour. Rochester station sits right in the town centre, a short walk from the castle and High Street.

By car, Rochester is just off the M2 motorway, about 30 miles southeast of central London. Parking in the town centre can be tight on busy weekends, particularly during the Dickens Festivals.
