Seaford beach is long, shingle, and open to the Channel. It is better for walking, swimming on calm days, and looking east toward the cliffs than for soft-sand lounging.
There are fewer distractions than in the larger Sussex resorts, which is the point. Bring beach shoes if you dislike shingle, and pay attention to sea conditions before swimming.
