Bell Tor is one of the granite tors above Widecombe-in-the-Moor, giving walkers a classic Dartmoor combination of open moor, weathered rock, and broad views. It is close enough to the village to fit into shorter walks, but still feels exposed in poor weather.
Use a proper map, footwear, and weather judgment, even for a modest tor walk. The reward is not a formal attraction but the Dartmoor experience itself: space, wind, stone, and changing light.
