A long, gently curving beach a short walk east of the harbour, backed by tall cliffs and Edwardian villas. The eastern end gets the sun longest and the western end gives onto the coast path that leads to Daddyhole Plain and the natural arch at London Bridge. It is a mix of sand and shingle and the swimming is good — Meadfoot is far enough from the main resort beaches that it never feels crowded.
Plenty of parking along the seafront road; a small cafe and toilets at the western end.
