The Art House on Drury Lane is a working studio complex for artists in the centre of Wakefield, with a public gallery on the ground floor that hosts rotating exhibitions of contemporary work — often by current studio members but also by invited national and international artists. It is a less formal place than the Hepworth, and admission is free.
Worth dropping in if you are walking between the city centre and the Hepworth Wakefield. The cafe on the ground floor is also a quietly pleasant place for a coffee.
