Newry's eating-out scene is split between the chain-and-shopping-centre crowd around the Quays and Buttercrane, and a slowly improving group of independent restaurants near Hill Street and the canal. Cross-border shoppers in from the Republic mean a decent number of places stay busy on weekends.
